Sometimes we don’t need more words—we just need a little space to breathe, create, and let color do the talking.
Breathe in Color is a playful therapeutic art experience designed to help you slow down, quiet the mental noise, and reconnect with yourself through color, movement, and intuitive mark-making.
Using vibrant watercolor, expressive lines, shapes, and simple creative prompts, you’ll create a series of small abstract pieces while exploring how color and movement can reflect your energy, emotions, and mood. There’s no pressure to make “good” art and absolutely no artistic experience is needed. The focus is on the process: being present, experimenting, and enjoying what happens when you give yourself permission to create freely.

Discover the joy of creative self-expression in our welcoming 90-minute Art Journal Class at The Grotto at Stoneybrook West. Whether you're brand new to journaling or already love mixed media, this hands-on class is designed to help you slow down, explore your creativity, and enjoy the process—no artistic experience required.
Using paints, paper, stamps, vintage-inspired embellishments, and other mixed media supplies, you'll create unique journal pages while learning fun techniques you can continue using at home. Each class offers a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere where creativity comes before perfection.

Feel free to bring your favorite adhesive, paper trimmer, scissors, or other crafting tools if you'd like.
